Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gherghe Aurelian has been a member of the Bucharest Bar since 1996 — almost three decades of practice in commercial law, civil law, private international law and complex litigation. The founder and coordinator of Insolvens brings a complete perspective to the firm: both practitioner and legal scholar.
The specialization in insolvency and restructuring is the firm's current focus — a niche where academic rigor and extensive commercial-law experience combine naturally. The Insolvens team assists companies and individuals at every stage of insolvency proceedings, from prevention to recovery or liquidation.
Doctor of Law at the Romanian Academy ("Acad. Andrei Rădulescu" Legal Research Institute, 2009 thesis on the effects of non-performance of synallagmatic contracts), associate professor and, since 2025, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Law — Ecological University of Bucharest. Tenured lecturer of the first Artificial Intelligence Law master's program authorized in Romania (Government Decision no. 413/2024).
